I love coupons!!

Hey y'all,

Man has it been a long time since my last post.. Well since my last post I have fallen' in love with the TLC's show Extreme Couponing http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/tv/extreme-couponing. Since falling in love with the show I have collected many coupons and was excited to be able to use some of thoses coupons today. 

We had run out of Zoey's "fancy" "expensive" dog food and had to make that dreaded trip to the pet store when I found a coupon for Zoey's "fancy" food online. We got to the store and the dog food that we get Zo was reg. $24.99 but with our "petperks" card it was $2 off making the food $22.99 for a 15lb bag. I was lucky enough to find a coupon online for $3 off the sale price making the food $19.99

While looking around at the rest of the food I found a coupon for two cans of the Nature's Recipe food for free with the purchase of a 15lb bag or more.  1 can of food is $1.49 each but with the pet perks card it came out to $1.25 each.                                                                                                 1 can of Nature's Recipe is $1.49 we got two for free

While looking through my many "pet product" coupons I found a coupon for a buy one get one of the Pedigree can food. which was $1.10 a piece but with our petperks card it was $.10 off making the $1.00 so we bought one and got one free.                                          BOGO $1.10 for one got one free 

We then went to Wal-Mart where we were looking for a dog bed and ended up finding these "Crunch 'n Clean" dog biscuits for $3.14 I had a coupon for $1.00 off making these $2.14.                                             1 box $3.14 with $1.00 off = $2.14

Making our total saving today of $8.00

Vacation

We are so excited in less than 3 days we are going to be leaving Texas and going to Colorado. You may be asking why are you going to Colorado?? Well it is because we have been wanting to go to CO. for the longest time and thought there is no better time then now, since this Saturday is going to be our one year wedding anniversary. Again we are so excited and can't wait to finally get to visit the state we have been wanting to visit. We are both very sad that our little Zoey won't be able to tag along, but she will be staying with my in-laws and they love her. I will try and post while in Co. but can't promise anything, I will post pics as soon as we get back for sure and you can always watch our daily vlogs on YouTube to keep up with our adventures.

Sleepy puppy

4 months old



In three days we will be celebrating having Zoey home with us for a month, but in two days we celebrate her being 4 months old. It's funny that she is still a baby but since becoming apart of our family she has already grown so much. We constantly look back to the first video of her and are reminded of how tiny she use to be.

Snow Day

On February 4, 2011 at 1:19am we were getting ready to go to bed, then Eli looked out our balcony window and noticed it was snowing. We quickley got dressed to go outside and ran down the stairs to play in the snow. We were so excited and tried to take many picture, but many are of us just playing so here are some of the pictures that I wanted to edit.

On Friday January 28 Eli and I went to ACS (Animal Care Service) after visiting the in laws. Little side note Eli and I had been looking for a dog since we signed our apartment lease in February of 2010. We would go back and forth at least once a month between SAHS (San Antonio Humane Society) and ACS just meeting dogs that we thought could be a good part of our family, but every time we would leave and wouldn't feel we found him/her. On this Friday we went through the three of the four kennels looking at all the dogs they had for adoption like we normally would. For the first time I wanted to go into the fourth kennel, Eli hesitated because the last time he had gone into kennel number four there wasn't many dogs. We walk into the last kennel to look around and we came up to the last two cages and there she was. Eli and I were looking at the dog next to her and then she got our attention. Once we saw this puppy named "April" we were in love. I wanted to spend time with her and made Eli ask if we could spend one on one time with her. We played with her for a good ten minutes and I was sold. ..so was Eli.
